Visitors to the Majestic Arch of No Return, one will get a stunning view of the bas-relief columns of  slaves chained together by their necks.   The Arch, also known as "The Point Of No Return" was built in remembrance of the millions of ancestors last seen on this spot on the beaches of Ouidah, Benin, West Africa, formerly Dahomey.   The sight is heartbreaking, yet joyous...because of the circumstances under which the ancestors were taken, and a constant reminder to the people of West Africa that it will never happen again.  It is joyous to me to know that we were never forgotten. And the hope of Dahomians has been for hundreds of years, our safe return HOME.
